ENGLISH

A project ideated and directed by Johanne Affricot and initially presented in occasion of the ‘Italia-Africa’ conference last October, M I R R O R S is a multidisciplinary artistic performance that highlights various Italian artists who come from different fields such as music, dance, video installations; these artists in turn highlight the connection between Italy and Africa with their art. As explained by the GRIOT team on their Facebook page, this project aims at celebrating the encounter between roots, cultures and identities through art and culture.
For now this performance will take place in the theaters of three big African cities that are Addis Ababa, Johannesburg and Dakar, but for those who will not be able to attend, GRIOT has decided to share eight video ‘pills’ with its followers.
We can in fact look at eight mini videos that introduce us to the protagonists of M I R R O RS, where each one of them describes their artistic process and path and they share their point of view on what Italy, Africa and Cultures represent to them.

Don’t miss the videos on GRIOT’s Facebook page HERE.
